Safewards presented to mixture of staff at Bluebird House, a specialist forensic adolescent unit in Totton and part of Southern Health. Many thanks to Simon for the invite and Mike for the tour of the unit.
Although Safewards acute care based, it is clear that conflict and containment big issues in units like Bluebird, with unique challenges. Will be very interesting to see what these services make of the model and interventions.
Will be planning a further visit to Sothern Healthcare later next year to talk to acute and other services.
