Charlesworth Ward, an acute female ward, in Lincoln held their away day event today. Thanks to Karen James from the Safewards team for her great presentation.

We have collected some data and are now in throes of gradually unrolling the team's "top 5 " interventions using the helpful guidance on the site. As part of implementing these I hope to develop some added staff training/support around bad news mitigation which perhaps is a bit less directive in terms of strategies.

We are also hoping to evaluate at how implementation impacts on staff morale.

The team (including our psychiatrist and other disciplines) gave a very clear message of being "up" for the challenge.
