I am hoping to soon introduce safewards to the older adult ward at the Bethlem Hospital. It would be great to link up with anyone else implementing this on a ward with people with dementia?

Hiya Geoff, I am a 3rd year student nurse (MH) and also work as a HCSW on Cemlyn ward, Cefni in North Wales, I would be very interested in any information to implement Safewards model onto the unit. Also I would love to use Safewards and Dementia as a topic for my final dissertation, just looking for ideas at the moment. I have worked mainly with dementia patients and older persons for many years now and would hopefully go into that area of nursing when I qualify. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Are they still using Safewards on Taliesin, might be worth having a chat with some people there? Otherwise let me know as I used to work there when it was set up. Just starting to implement where I work now, different challenges everywhere!
