A big thank you to Len and the crew for helping me get onto the forum. My name is Virginia Griffin. I am a RMN and currently working on Taliesin PICU in Bangor, Gwynedd. We are a six bedded unit. Our manager is Sian Williams, who also happened to mentor me whilst I was a student 4 years ago. I enjoy my job, in fact love it. Like Geoff I am a safewards idiot (Your words ha), I love this intervention, its great, I believe it works and basically as I am the biggest talker of the ward, safewards is just up my street. My dislikes are RPI although I am aware its necessary and will do it if have to, I try other interventions first before attempting this. Thats me. Nice to meet you all.

Hi All just joined the forum. My name is Kelly Panniers and I am an Advanced Nurse Practitioner for inpatient services in Cardiff. The lovely Geoff presented Safewards to a group of our staff in Whitchurch Hospital in May and it was a great success. We are currently starting to implement some of the interventions on our PICU and locality wards, hopefully I will be able to post the progress of this soon. Already seen some excellent work posted on here and am excited to be implemeting this within my own service. Speak soon.

Has anyone converted any of the main information in the website to Welsh yet?
Obviously a public body in Wales has a legal obligation to produce bi-lingual information and I was wondering if anyone has embarked on that mammoth task?

Delighted that you are volunteering, Robert. The Dutch and the Turkish versions were created by individuals working by themselves. If you produce the Welsh version (the whole thing, documents and downloads etc.), I'll get it up on the site.
When do you reckon it will be ready?

Thanks Len,
Alas i'm not a fluent Welsh speaker! What i will try to do is get everything we produce bilingual and will add relevent things here but i doubt i'll be able to do everything. I will try my best to secretly get as much as i can done by our translation service and some from bilingual colleagues...and try to persuade my wife to help me* do some myself.
