Hi, I am a newly appointed Clinical Nurse Specialist working into rehab services within NTW. It's been 15yrs since I worked in inpatient care and things have changed significantly in that time.
As an enthusiastic evangelist of compassionate based approaches, I must say I have found the advice and guidance within 'safewards' heartwarming and very encouraging. I shall be endeavouring to support the wards I work into with the implementation of the various approaches referenced here and look forward to keeping up with the site and the forum.

Hi Len, I'm afraid not! Its much colder and has much smaller prawns
I believe you are visiting us soon? I work with Paul Veitch (Nurse Consultant and another great supporter of the Safewards model). He mentioned he spoke to you recently and that you are attending our next Nursing Conference in the Summer?
I am currently undertaking a systematic review for my MSc and I've decided to focus on reviewing all the literature that led to the development of the Safewards model. I wanted to look at something that is relevant and useful in practice and this ticks all the boxes...
I hope to see you later in the year if you are able to make it across!
Many thanks
Lisa
