Hi everyone
I am the modern matron at Green Parks House, an inpatient unit in Kent, and we are in the planning stage of implementing the safewards interventions. Geoff very kindly presented the Safewards interventions to the team and we are all enthusiastic to get started. I find this website incredibly useful with lots of top tips and its great that we don't have to reinvent the wheel and can learn from what has been tried and tested before.
Very much looking forward to use the blog to share how we are progressing and look for help if we are stuck.

Hi Len
There is a lot of interest from staff in my team to visit wards that has already implemented some of the interventions. Do you have any suggestions or contact details for me so I can arrange to visit for inspiration.

Hi Naidoo and Betts Ward at Green Parks House.

We do have a ward that has allowed us to impose visits on them. We have one planned in the next fe weeks, but let me talk to the lovely ward manager. Wouldn't like to overwhelm them.

Hello, I have just joined the forum. I recently attended a CPD at the University of York and I am keen to implement safewards within our ward environment. I work within a Brain Injury Rehabilitation Hospital we have three wards , locked doors and a mixture of services users on section/varying degrees of capacity and those that are informal. I am eager to get any advice or support to get the ball rolling.
