Care Delivery System

On Friday 28th of Feb we were asked to deliver the first of a series of Safewards sessions to the South London and Maudsley Care Delivery system. This is an ambitious roll out of a number of initiatives aimed at reducing violence and aggression in the Trust. A range of staff from four wards (Gresham1, Eden Ward, Eileen Skellern1 and the Croydon Triage Ward) attended the session, organised by Natalie Hammond, Katy Dickson and Mike Holland from the Trust. The session was ably supported by Chris Anderson, an expert by experience. Eileen Skellern1 is another PICU to add to the list!

Thanks to the staff who attended, who attended who are particularly interested in the “Calm Down” (AKA “Comfort”, “Serenity” or “Relaxation”) Box and Talk Down as their starting interventions.

Good luck to the wards.
