Plaque presented

Visited the wonderful Keats ward and its inspirational staff (and patients) in Salford this morning to award them with their well deserved plaque in recognition of being the first ward internationally to implement all ten Safewards interventions. They really are doing them! Enthusiastically and completely. I took loads of photographs and will post them on the forum when I get home. This is a huge achievement and all respect to them. All the patients turned up for the plaque presentation as well as some old and new friends, management representatives, ward managers from other wards starting implementation. There was quite a crowd. I was so touched to be quietly approached by one patient who told me that she had been being admitted to the ward for many years, and that Safewards had made and enormous difference. Well done all at the Meadowbrook unit!
