Safewards presented at Littlemore Hospital.

Thanks to Kirsty Smith and all who came to the Safewards presentation in Oxford. A good turnout of nurses, service users, trainers and a doctor. What is clear is that, as time goes on, more and more people have heard about Safewards before we turn up. Again we had some facebook members and even some forum members. Thanks to Paul and Rosemary for their incites from a service user perspective.
As it happens, the talk was in the training room for therapeutic management of violence and aggression – and Talk Down was already on the wall! I kid you not. Some key features from the presentation: Although we had set time frames for the research, wards who are implementing Safewards should decide on timeframes that are realistic and achievable for them.
